Arriving by car

From any direction you may come, take the highway direction Naples. Drive along the A3 direction Sorrento Peninsula and take the Castellammare di Stabia exit. From Castellammare di Stabia continue along the panoramic road for about 23 km. After the exit, you will pass Vico Equense, Meta, Piano di Sorrento, Sant’Agnello up to Sorrento. Ambrosio Relais is located just after the entrance in the Sorrento municipality.

Arriving by hydrofoil

Sorrento can easily be reached by sea thanks to the hydrofoils connecting the Beverello Harbor in Naples to the Marina Piccola Port in Sorrento.

The trip is much more comfortable than the one by train, but it is more expansive (the price is more than double compared to the train ticket).

Arriving from the Naples Airport

From the airport there are several options to reach Sorrento. The cheapest and most comfortable is, if available at the time of your arrival, the Curreri Bus. The bus stop is right outside the airport (close to the ‘Arrivi’ exit), the ticket is around 10 Euros and the trip lasts about one hour (traffic permitting). The final stop is at the Sorrento train station. Another option may be a private transfer, there are many agencies offering private transfers with drivers and the cost is usually between 80 and 100 Euros. From the airport there are buses, taxis and shuttle buses to the Circumvesuviana train station, if you prefer to take the local train from Naples station to Sorrento.

Arriving from Naples Train Station

The main station in Naples is Napoli Centrale Piazza Garibaldi where there are connections to the most important Italian cities thanks to Ferrovie dello Stato. The main train station hosts also the Circumvesuviana train station with local trains connecting Naples to Sorrento.

When you arrive at the Napoli Centrale Station take the stairs down to the Circumvesuviana station. The trip lasts about 1 hour. Circumvesuviana trains are often very crowded and uncomfortable, but unfortunately they are the fastest and cheapest way to reach Sorrento.
